Description: Trent Reznor aka Nine Inch Nails delivers a tune so insidiously catchy that when played through your computer it will probably cause objects on your desk to bounce to the beat. That's what happens in this video from director David Fincher and the technical wizards at Digital Domain. Everything takes place on an executive's desk where a PowerBook pumps out this track through two sleek external speakers. The computer screen is set to a visualizer effect that causes jagged lines and colors to flutter about to the music, while the bass heavy thumps get the chrome balls of a pendulum executive toy to thwack into each other. The coolest effect has to do with another executive toy in which you push pins to form various impressions (trade-name: Pinpressions). The pins start to slide in and out and soon Trent Reznor's face pushes out to start singing the vocals. The camera spins around the object to show that the Pinpression gizmo has come to life all by itself. It's a damn nifty visual trick, similar to those scenes in Fincher's Fight Club and Panic Room where the camera seems to magically zoom into and then through objects.
