Nicki Minaj f/ The Game "Pills N Potions" (Diane Martel, Geoffrey Lillemon, dir.)

Silly Rabbit, don't you know tricks aren't just for Miley Cyrus? Nicki Minaj has been pushing out transgressive videos since jump, but "Pills N Potions" carves out territory that seems custom-made for Tumblr (or sad MDMA trip). There's out-there animation, some revenge at her lover — gamely played by The Game (no pun intended) — and tears that fall like metallic sheets of rain, all in a 4x3 set-up to accentuate the occasional lo-fi, but always hi-impact visuals.

Nicki Minaj f/ The Game "Pills N Potions" (Diane Martel, Geoffrey Lillemon, dir.) TEASER

We'll have to a wait a little longer for the full blast, but Nicki Minaj has unveiled the first taste of what she's been cooking up with director Diane Martel and vfx artist Geoffrey Lillemon. The same absurdist touch from the "We Can't Stop" video is evident here — Hello, bunny rabbit drug dispenser — plus an unadorned styling look that serves as a pallette for metallic tears, purple clouds surrounding The Game, and what's sure to be lot's more...

David Bowie "Love Is Lost" (Barnaby Roper, dir.)

An intro of applause becomes rhythmic before becoming rasterized, which is when this masterpiece starts to take shape. Polygons and other digital detritus start to skitter and take shape, eventually hitting a climax and creating something of pure beauty. But technology is never satisfied with perfection, so we march past the human and back into the modern haze.

Content note: The video has nudity. It's been labeled NSFW elsewhere on the web, but that phrase is so associated with shit merely meant to titillate or shock that I don't think it has any business being used to describe this work of art. Also, why are you watching videos at work and worrying about boobs? Don't you have faxes to send?

Britney Spears "Work Bitch" (Ben Mor, dir.)

Nobody will accuse Britney of not working (bitch) on the roll-out of this club banger. Having already been teased online, the full video is a series of dance and beauty set-ups — some in the desert, some at the lip of a body of water, some soft and delicate, and others rock hard with more than a hint of s&m.

Sure, there's the not-so-subtle placements for both her fragrance and Planet Hollywood Vegas residency (and Beats, of course), but there's nothing subtle about any of this: It's Britney back, bitch. And you should stand clear once she breaks out the whip.

PS: Yes, of course there's a Breaking Bad remix of the track already, bitch.

Robin Thicke f/ 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar"Give It To" (Diane Martel, dir.)

It's not the Lingerie Bowl, but this game of Twerk Football gets close thanks as Robin Thicke, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar make a convincing case that next year's Rose Bowl Parade should include an Ass Float.

The video also pulls the second half of the Robin Thicke + Miley Cyrus VMA performance into focus for those who were befuddled by the battling parade dancers and Foam fingers. And also, Thicke's Referee meets Beetlejuice suit.
