Director X on Rick Ross "Diced Pineapples" and Drake "HYFR"

Director X continues his roll of confident music videos with "Diced Pineapple," a tropical excursion with Rick Ross, Drake, Wale and lots of ladies. It's also a fantastic A/B comparison with his award-winning "HYFR" video for Drake, which is very deserving of a re-Bar Mitzvah.

Director X, director:  "The island and the track came together. So, tropical paradise and a song about a girl, the video kind of writes itself. It was my first time shooting in Aguilla, which isn't a production town, so we had to fly everyone in. We shot at the Viceroy hotel and a couple of villas. We had a partnership with the government of Anguilla, so they were really helpful."

WATCH IT: Nas f/ Amy Winehouse "Cherry Wine" (Jay Martin, dir.)

Ladies always love the bartender, and Nas is a wise enough man to know this. Director Jay Martin sets Mr. Jones up behind the bar at the coolest of downtown lounges with a bad-ass vintage jukebox and a collection of the most beautiful female customers imaginable. The luscious young ladies attract various, hard-charging seducers running through a variety of pick-up lines but we all know that Nas, cool and collected, will win in the end.  --> watch "Cherry Wine"

WATCH IT: George Michael "White Light" (Ryan Hope, dir.)

George Michael has made breakthrough videos with supermodels before, but you'd be hard pressed to find something as cinematically gynormous as this video starring Kate Moss and directed by Ryan Hope. The big theme is death, which is inspired by the singer's nearly lethal bout with pnemonia, plus some other autobigraphical touches — hello, LAPD — that gives this very big video even more resonance for fans. --> watch "White Light"
