Doomsday

WATCH IT: Yuksek "Always On The Run" (Skinny, dir.)

Just because you're living like an outlaw bohemian — completely off-the-grid, without morals (or shirts), subsisting on stolen booze and money — doesn't mean that you're any less bored and unhappy than you were back in suburbia. What's most shocking about this Yuksek video is that what I might have termed as a "Road Warrior post-apocalyptic" fantasy now doesn't seem that far off in the future. --> watch "Always On The Run"

WATCH NOW: Karen O "Abandoned (Mammas...)" (David Altobelli, dir.)

When does Chipotle commission a Flying Burrito Brothers "Hot Burrito" cover for one of these brand-enhancing videos? Instead, the mexican chain stays in the Willie Nelson wheelhouse, this time having Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O tackle his classic "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys." Director David Altobelli delivers a spooky narrative piece in which a group of kids enter and trash an old farmhouse before realizing that they too may someday be left in the dust. --> watch "Abandoned" (for Chipotle Cultivate)

WATCH IT: Mastodon "Curl Of The Burl" (Robert Schober, dir.)

A woodsman spends his time smoking and snorting trees to get excrutiatingly high in this trippy bit of bizarro horror. Shadow puppets, mushroomheads and magical breasts are all landmarks in this descent into blissful madness directly from the mind of Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor and brought to life by director Robert Schober.  --> watch "Curl of The Burl"

WATCH IT: Jennifer Lopez "Papi" (Paul Hunter, dir.)

No surprise for Jennifer Lopez to be the center of male attention in her own video, but the response she gets from a Spanish Fly cookie  in "Papi" is purposely absurd. JLo is able to handle it in stride, figuring out a way to corral the masses at her will. And, also figuring out a way to work in some product placements, including one for Fiat that has the video running as a commercial on TV. Smart. --> watch "Papi
