NEWS: Heidi Gregory Repping Walter Robot

Heidi Gregory is now repping the Merge @ Crossroads direccreativeting team Walter Robot.

Consisting of artist Bill Barminski and writer Christopher Louie, the duo has created a mix of live action and animation videos for Gnarls Barkley, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie and Rob Thomas.

Their breakthrough clip is the Death Cab for Cutie video "Grapevine Fires," which won the won the Audience Award for Best Music Video at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival, and was also nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards and Best Video at the MTVu Woodie Awards.

LA ALERT: FLUX Screening @ Hammer Museum, Weds 9/15

Attention L.A. People: Wednesday Night marks the latest installment of the FLUX Screening Series at the Hammer Museum. Music videos will be shown, directors will be speaking, and lots of creative folks will be there. And it's free. So, motivate.

Note: Tickets are free, but are required. First come, first served,  available at the Hammer's Billy Wilder Theater Box Office one hour prior to start time. Limit one ticket per person.

NEWS: PLUS CAMERIMAGE CALL FOR ENTRIES

PLUS CAMERIMAGE, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, has announced a call for entries to their 18th annual event.

PLUS CAMERIMAGE is the biggest international film festival devoted to cinematography, showcasing works in a variety of categories, including music videos. All presented works will be judged by an International Jury who will grant awards to the best of the best. Last year's music video jury was chaired by Brett Ratner and included DP's Martin Coppen and Andrzej Bartkowiak

Music Video entries can be completed via the PLUS CAMERIMAGE online submission form. All submissions must be in by September 20.

Jason Botkin has announced the closing of his production company, Streetgang Films to join Furlined in an executive producer role. Streetgang was founded in 2003. 2010: MTV VMA Nominees

MTV announced the 2010 MTV Video Music Award Nominees today. As expected, it's all about Lady Gaga with a record breaking 13 nominations and, in a rare feat, both "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" are nominated in the Video of The Year category. Other Video of the Year nominees are: 30 Seconds To Mars "Kings and Queens", B.o.B. f/ Haley Williams "Airplanes", Eminem "Not Afraid", and Florence + The Machine "Dog Days Are Over", which is the other big story of the 2010 VMA nominees.
