A haunting video about bad things people do, even if it's just to themselves.
Alexander Courtes, director: “In an isolated house situations collide, that illustrate different facets of life and lives that have inhabited this place. Through its poetic nature, this film deals with the different emotions the song brings forth in me, and allows me to illustrate freely the surreal aspects of those very different themes that reflect the wide spectrum of sensations, ideas, thoughts and feelings of our lives.
This project is a direct reference to the works of Fellini and David Lynch. It is a juxtaposition of life scenes and actions that have nothing to do with each other in particular, that however create a fantastic dynamic and resolutely surreal experience.”
Boards Of Canada "Reach For The Dead" is a video defined by its cinematography of ghost towns and deserted landscapes.

Footage shot over the course of 13 years by Bibio himself occupies both the backgrounds and the silhouettes in this psychedelic video. Bibio explains the inspiration and processs:
Elijah Wood convalesces in bed with a bandaged stump in the place of his right arm. Maybe it's magic, or the meds, but his room slowly comes alive to first create a bionic replacement and then transport him to a fractal fantasy where his limb fully regenerates. It's a dream, of course — maybe the result of watching Akira too often — but he does wake up to a change in his condition that proves that something happened in his fugue state. --> watch "Tiny Tortures"
A figureskater breaks through the ice and into a cathartic journey of self-discovery that culminates in her childhood bedroom. If you're a fan of skating metaphors in music — and really, who isn't? — you might find yourself making quick connections to "The Thin Ice" and "River," or even "Trapped Under Ice" if you're a metalhead. --> watch "Yet Again" and check out an interview with Emily Kai Bock at The Creators Project

Maybe this Kwes video has you thinking about elevators, or lifts as they say across the pond. If so, then you will love set designer Rory Buckley's blog liftsinfilms, which started as a place for him to compile reference clips for the elevator he had to design and build for this video. Now, it's about as comprehensive a site as you could hope for if you have a fetish for lifts in films. --> watch "Bashful"
The Canada production crew gets random, sexy, awesome with this new Battles video, mixing some ingenius multiple exposures with imagery that seems pulled from an excessively surreal American Apparel campaign. --> watch "Ice Cream"
Sex, violence, jump cuts. Hip directing dueo Daniels deliver a claustrophobic and manic clip for The Hundred In The Hands, using stop-motion style editing effects to show situations how get suddenly out of hand. --> watch "Commotion"
