M.I.A. Documentary Trailer Leaks; Production in Limbo

This apparently leaked teaser for a possibly never-to-be finished M.I.A. documentary looks awesome, delving into the personal, the political and the musical, ending on her telling quote, "I could be a genius, I could be a cheat. It's a thin line. And I'm fuckin' with it."

Just as awesome is the underlying drama behind the production — it's apparently in limbo due to budgetary and legal issues — which came to a head with director Steve Loveridge publicly quitting the project by posting a screengrab of an email corresponse with RocNation management that ends with, "Count me out. Would rather die than work on this... nothing personal :)"
