WATCH IT: Moones "Better Energy" (Peter Sluszka, dir.)

Moones are marooned on an iceberg, with nothing to do but rock the time away while sending out some SOS calls. Everything goes wrong — frostbite, spontaneous combustion, a sharpshooting lynx — but director Peter Sluszka depicts everything in a flurry of creative, lo-fi energy that being stranded seems like a fun option. Be sure to watch the Making Of, which is as fun as the video itself. --> watch "Better Energy"

NEW RELEASE: Los Campesinos "We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives"

Fuck war. Let's dance. That's basically the message in this colorful animated clip for the Los Campesinos track "We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives" that manages to incorporate the aggression of battle with the sheer abandon of disco dancing. So, there you have it. War is fun. Call your local recruiter. --> watch "We Throw Parties, You Throw Thives"

NEWS: VH1 Classic's Matzo & Metal

As Passover winds to a close, I hope all of you caught VH1 Classic's Matzo & Metal. Besides retelling the story of the Jews exodus from Pharaoh's land in its own unique fashion with Popsicle stick characters, the special also featured a Seder with a variety of Jewish metal icons. Among the attendees were Anthrax's Scott Ian, Twisted Sister's J.J. French and Mountain's Leslie West. The host was Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider  (who is only half-Jewish, for the record) and the show was sponsored by the kosher winery Manischewitz.
