If you need a good example of how video game economics absolutely dwarves that of the music business, take a look at Destiny. Not only did they soundtrack their commercial with the mighty Led Fucking Zeppelin — which was directed by action/sci-fi master Joseph Kosinski — they got Sir Paul McCartney and turned him into hologram to roam their video game landscapes.

My hope for the future? That someday we'll be able to get Super Mario in a music video. And, no, this one doesn't count.

You know you've made the video of the year when YouTube decides to use the song title for their own tribute of the biggest online hits.

"Turn Down For 2014" starts with an homage to the Daniels video for DJ Snake and Lil Jon "Turn Down For What" before seguing into similar bits inspired by Fancy, Selfie, Happy, Anaconda, All About That BassDark Horse and, of course, the ice bucket challenge and other non-MV virals, with both YouTube and "traditional" celebrities showing up and showing off.
